Yeah, it's really no risk at all. He's getting a pro-rated minimum, so if he's a pain they can just cut him and sign someone else. Also, he's replacing Troy Daniels, who didn't play except in garbage time, so the Lakers aren't really risking anything by doing this.

If he fucks up he doubt he even gets benched. He's straight up getting dumped. Lakers chemistry and locker room has been great this year and I doubt they'll deal with his bullshit if it comes up.

While I agree with everything you said, Keef being on the team does give the Lakers more guys they can throw at Giannis and Kawhi, rather than trying to use their guards (like KCP) on them. Keef and Kuz definitely aren't 3&D wings, but Kawhi is more strong than he is quick, so just having a big strong dude to put on him in stretches is probably better than letting him bully smaller players he can easily shoot over.

Yeah, it's not like the problem is solved, not by any means. But clearly KCP on Kawhi was a no-go, so any other options they can come up with are definitely worth a shot. Kuzma would probably get bullied by Kawhi as well, but maybe Markieff won't? It could also be that the Lakers will plan to use AD on Kawhi and will put Morris on Trez or something.

He had is amazing moments for us. He had his wth you doing moments as well. He was injured quite a bit too.

We dropped him for locker room issues which I hope being without a job humbled him a bit. He didn’t like being benched for 2 rookies and a guy who’s having a career year shooting the 3 while getting hickeys. He could have played a role like Dragic which is scary to think of that possibility with our team right now had he just accepted the 6/7th man role.

I’m sure LeGM will put him in his place and he will be a great bench player and closer if needed.

Nothing about his issues were fabricated. He had the drug induced seizure on the plane, he made multiple negative comments about our team on social media, lied about being sick to get a day off and generally didn't fit. He's apologised and taken ownership for his actions so I wish him all the best because the guy can hoop and other than the issues here he seems like a good guy but he did have his problems.

Honestly good deal. Even if waiters isn’t special the Lakers need as much scoring and ball handling as they can. I don’t think Waiters plays much but he might work his way and be a decent 10ppg guy off the bench. With AD and Bron they have the scoring options. If Kuzma, Morris, Waiters, and even KCP give balanced scoring efforts, I think this team can come out of the west.

Waiters history is an issue but I think people have to get about taking risks. Waiters might really accept his faith now and honestly it doesn’t seem guy has been that bad of a distraction out side a few small problems. I mean do people remember how Michael Beasley came back for a bit with the Knicks and Lakers. It might be imposssinle but Lakers made Howard focus so I don’t blame them for taking on Waiters. It’s up to Witwrs and Lakers to work it out. Also the fact James is okay with Waiters on his team shows Lebron and Waiters are willing to play with each other.
